The Réal-Décoste Scholarship was founded to foster students’ interest in climate change and provide financial assistance for top students, to help them undertake or pursue postgraduate studies in that field.

The Réal Décoste Merit Scholarship Program was founded to honour the visionary work of the first Executive Director of Ouranos, Réal Décoste, who died in July 2004. Mr. Décoste created Ouranos with the goal of fostering partnerships and multidisciplinarity.
